I talk; you listen. You tell me what's wrong with that!

new starts, soundly sleeping

hey y'all, I've got a headache but I cant say it hasn't been a pretty great day off. It doesn't take much sometimes guys but... I looked for and found a mattress today after comparison between Sleepy's and ABC here on Broadway and fell in love with one that is only a billion times more than I can afford WITH both parents help as a xmas gift and birthday gift combined (tune of 4G). Anyway, I decided the will to write has come over me and since I already think overtime this is going to be an outlet for me to get it out... todaaayyy...
...Newly pulled from underbed for the colder months, I remembered why I put my brown boots there: one has an air pocket that *whooshes* lightly when I step. No problem I put on my big Audiovox headphones, cranked up daylist XLIV and stomped my way down to the L train. I am taller and feel more aggressive in these brown leather boots, plus my recent leg workouts are some of the first since years ago and my thick soccer legs make me feel sturdy and unassailable. I barely the resisted urge to say "Nice littering, asshole!" to a guy that tossed a piece of paper on the street right in front of me. L train took a while and then skipped my station and without a honk I believe... something many NYers dont know is that if a train is approaching the station and it honks two short honks, the train is not going to stop and it is a warning for people to step back. I can't tell you how many times I have watched people get all excited and ready to board only to find out the train isn't stopping for them a whole 5-10 seconds after me. That's NY time folks. (Why chumps are always running down the stairs to L train platform at Union Square on the south side is for another time). Made it to USquare eventually, scarfed crispy corn Chipotle tacos filled with shredded beef alongside some gossiping nurses and then headed for Sleepy's. Met by a salesman, well groomed, well dressed, hispanic, late 30s, and I realized it had been a while since I had placed myself into the sphere of someone that gets paid when he sells me something. That being said he was not pushy. I told him I slept on a futon of sorts and he seemed pretty sure that everything in his store room would be better than that. I decided to show him stand-offish and skeptical to start and then switched to compliant and warmer; giving the sales man two different looks keeps him undecided in my experience as to which tack he should take with me and keeps me in control without having to listen to lengthy speeches on stuff about which I had not inquired. I liked the Sleep To Live 800 Series Mattress best. He had no card to give me so I left without. Place called Environment had totally dope furniture but no mattresses and said I might try ABC, but warned of incredibly overpriced Hastens products(60K?!). First let me say that ABC is a wonderful place. Not for the budgeted person per se but just a nice place to be... until...
